Cat Battles abilities tier list

Cat Battles is won by ring-outs, so the best abilities are the ones that keep you on the platform or push others off it. Here is the tier list with each ability's cost, active time and cooldown in one table.

Tier list with costs and cooldowns

SStompRare2,000 Coins0.6s16sShakes the floor around you; strongest when several cats are bunched near the edge.
SAnchorRare2,000 Coins3s15sClaws into the floor so Push, Slap and Toss move you less. Resists displacement, not hits.
APounceCommon750 Coins1s14sLaunches you at the nearest player. An opener; can carry you toward the edge if misused.
AHissCommon750 Coins0.1s14sOnly works while you are grabbed: the cat holding you lets go. Hard counter to grab-and-carry.
ACatnipEpic5,000 Coins3s16sRefills your stamina so you can keep attacking.

Ability names: Verified (official description, Oct 20, 2026). Costs, durations and cooldowns: reported by AllThingsHow, not measured by GGDuck. Tiers: consensus of the published community tier lists (cat-battles.wiki and catbattles.wiki agree on the same S/A/B split).

Why these tiers

S tier: Dash, Stomp, Anchor

Dash is free and recharges every 6 seconds; i-frames mean you can dodge a grab right at the edge. Stomp punishes the crowded edge fights that happen every round. Anchor is the answer if you keep getting pushed out, especially in 4 Teams mode where hits come from all sides. Its weakness: good players wait out its 3 seconds.

A tier: Pounce, Hiss, Catnip

Pounce starts fights on a cat that is already off balance. Hiss is cheap and is the only hard counter to being grabbed and carried off the ring. Catnip lets you keep pressure up, but opponents can simply back off until it ends.

B tier: Fluff Up, Hairball

Both can win rounds in the right spot, but they are situational. Hairball is the most expensive ability (12,000 Coins) and needs good placement to matter.

What to buy first

  1. Keep Dash while you learn. It is free and already S tier.
  2. Spend your first coins on Hiss (750) if you keep getting carried out, or Pounce (750) if you want to start fights. Free coins from Cat Battles codes (1,650 total) cover both.
  3. Save for Anchor or Stomp (2,000 each) next.
  4. Skip Hairball until everything else is unlocked.
