Chapter 2 of Chop A Forest launched on October 19, 2026. The official tagline: "the desert awaits you." The developer has not posted patch notes, so here is everything the Roblox data confirms, plus what is still unknown.

Two things stand out:
- Almost everyone who clears the desert does it in under 4 hours. 2,416 of the 2,443 Desert Cleared holders also have Dune Runner, so the 4-hour badge comes almost for free if you clear it at all.
- The desert is far harder to finish than the forest so far. Forest Cleared has 322,348 holders; Desert Cleared has 2,443 after one day. That gap will shrink as more players reach it.

What is not confirmed yet
- How to unlock the desert. Not published. Whether you need to clear the forest first is unknown. Unverified
- Desert "trees". One wiki lists Cactus, Yucca, Desert Palm and Desert Coconut. Only cacti are confirmed by the badge text. Unverified
- Desert bosses, zones and prices. No reliable source yet.
Tips from the forest that still apply
- Solo and friend runs save, so you can split a desert clear over several sessions (official description). Note that badge times are for a clear, and whether pauses count is not documented.
- Bring your best cutting tool; the Chainsaw, Dynamite and Big Saw all speed up clears.
- Sell close to where you are cutting to save trips.

How do you finish the desert in Chop A Forest?
The official Desert Cleared badge says: "Clear every cactus in the desert and hit the detonator." So instead of chopping trees and cashing out, you clear all the cacti and then trigger a detonator.
How rare are the Chapter 2 badges?
Very rare so far. On October 20 only about 2,400 players had Desert Cleared, compared with over 320,000 who had cleared the forest. Desert Tornado (under 2 hours) had about 1,200.
